FINE-ART PORTRAIT MASTERCLASS

ONE DAY INTENSIVE TRAINING

I’m a multiple international winning photographer and fine-art teacher since  2019. I studied artistic photography at different fine art schools and today my photography combines photographic techniques with painting!

Program (from 9.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.)

Coffee break and lunch included
During the morning we will take studio shots and the afternoon  will be spent painting post-production.

What will be covered

1) STYLING
We will choose the perfect outfit and look with the help of a MUA and the hairdresser. How important it is to choose the right mood and the correct palette colour? Have you ever thought that a portrait can be created in both the monochromatic and complementary ranges?

2)ACCESSORIES 
I will show you the importance of the choice of accessories and backgrounds. We will study how to place one or two models or a family and we will focus on the importance of a correct shooting angle to offer customers family images of great impact.

3) WHITE BALANCE

4) LIGHTS SETTINGS
I will show you two different light settings in the studio: the REMBRANDT style and the CARAVAGGIO style. We will study methods to create the perfect symbiosis between light and shadow.

5)CAMERA SETTINGS
All the secrets to setting the camera to obtain perfect images in Raw mode already. I shoot in live view mode to get perfect shots and impeccable sharpness.

6) POSING
We will study  the correct angle and the secrets to find the best solutions and create perfect moods and images like paintings. The Fine Art portrait is a painting. It requires sensitivity and a deep awareness ad mastery of advanced photographic techniques. It also implies knowing how to suggest and show it to the customers.

After lunch we will work on post production.

POST PRODUCTION FINE ART

All the secrets of pictorial post-production will be revealed. I will teach you how to make the most of computer sessions and obtain great final effects.

Requirements for all participants: Full frame camera – lens: fixed 50 or 85 mm or corresponding Mirrorless + Average knowledge of Lr and PS + Manual shooting.

COST: 700 EURO 
A 30 % deposit is required when booking the workshop.The 70 % left  must be paid by the beginning of the course.
